Harcourts Gold History

In December 1997 an opportunity to purchase the Harcourts Papanui office arose, enabling two of Christchurch’s top salespeople to move from sales to ownership.

These two (John McFadden and Lynette McFadden) completely revitalised the office, transforming it into a leading force in today’s real estate market.

In 1998 they acquired three additional franchises – Harcourts Redwood, Harcourts New Brighton and Harcourts Parklands – renaming the resulting company GOLD REAL ESTATE GROUP LIMITED – MREINZ.

At the end of 2006 Harcourts Gold opened a boutique office, Harcourts Strowan which was subsequently closed due to the events of 2010 & 2011.  In 2007 they also opened Gold Accommodation House (Now Gold Property Management Ltd.).

Early 2010 John and Lynette McFadden announced the appointment of Cameron Bailey to junior partner in their real estate business.

Since then the Harcourts gold Group has gone on to achieve outstanding sales statistics and numerous awards. Click here to view but a few of our many awards.
